THE DEPARTMENT FOR EQUALITY, THE LOCAL POLICE AND SOCIAL SERVICES TEACH THE STUDENTS OF THE IES TEULADA HOW GENDER VIOLENCE CAN BE PREVENTED

The department for equality, headed by Mamen Botija, organised lectures at the IES Teulada. The goal was to work on gender violence prevention in adolescence. They targeted the 4th graders of the ESO and the speakers who presented the subjects were, the Chief of the Local Police, the lawyer and the psychologist of social services and the head of the department for equality.

 

The speakers addressed the coordination system for victims of gender violence (VIOGEN), legal questions, psychological aspects of gender violence and they talked about survey results and the perception of gender violence during adolescence. 

 

The final resume at the end of the day showed the necessity to continuously teach this section of the population equality and prevention of gender violence to achieve a realistic and efficient sensitisation which will help to eliminate gender violence in our young citizens’ everyday life.
