During the last weeks, the association "Agrupación Musical Cultural de Teulada" celebrated the feast in honour of the patron saint of the musicians Santa Cecilia with different cultural occasions. The most important ceremonies took place last weekend.

Last Friday, the youth music groups of the "Centre Artístic de Xábia" and the "Agrupación Musical Cultural de Teulada", entertained the audience in the Auditorium in collaboration with the local group Ti-t-lla. The young musicians delighted the whole auditorium, which was well attended, and confirmed that they are the musical future of the region.

The eagerly awaited Santa Cecilia concert, conducted by the Agrupación Musical Cultural de Teulada, took place on Saturday. More than 600 spectators gathered in the auditorium and were electrified by the interpretation of the carefully selected repertoire of the more than 100 musicians of this group.

The concert also served to celebrate the official entry of 17 new members of the group. Family members and veterans presented the badges and diplomas. The "Vicente Mas" award went to music group member Hector Andrés. For more than a decade, the saxophonist has been proving his passion and his belonging. The ceremony ended with a Zarzuela interpretation. The young sopranos and musicians managed to pull the audience from their seats.

"I would like to thank the group for their great work, dedication and commitment throughout the year, but above all for this performance in honour of Santa Cecilia. This was an artistic miracle, a delight for the whole village and filled the auditorium to the last seat," said Rosa Vila, Mayor of Teulada Moraira.

The festivities ended on Sunday with the wake-up call and the pick-up of the new members of the music group. At noon the godmother of the music group, Vicenta Mari Morell, was finally picked up and accompanied to the church together with the portrait of Santa Cecilia to listen to the singing mass performed by Coral Teuladina.
