For the very first time, the contest includes an award for the best short film about gender equality.
The association ‘Cultural Amics de Teulada (ACAT)’ and the municipality of Teulada presented the new rules and regulations for the 4th short film festival ‘Curts del Moscatell’. This year’s contest comes up with a new award and wants to promote audiovisual creations about gender equality by offering prize money in the amount of 300 Euros sponsored by the Town Hall. No change in the awards for ‘best short film open themes’, ‘best short film in Valenciano’, ‘best short film selected by the audience’ and ‘best short film about the cultivation of the Muscat grape’.
The total prize money under the patronage of the municipality of Teulada, the ACAT and the Bodega Cooperativa San Vicente Ferrer amounts to 2.000 Euros. Rules and regulations about the contest are available on www.curtsdemoscatell.es. The Auditorio Teulada Moraira will host the presentation of those short films which made the finals in August of this year.
Some of the winners of last year’s short film festival got some additional awards and recognition well after the contest. There is e.g. the film ‘9 pasos’ which made it to the finals of the Goya award and ‘La última virgen’ which was nominated best RTVE short film. The organisors invite all professionals and fans of audiovisual creations to present their work at the Festival and a special call goes to the works relating to the cultivation of the Muscat grape: the landscape, the architecture, the history and anything else in connection with this important element of our cultural heritage
