Start of the children's workshops on the environment at L'Ampolla beach
The Department of Environment has planned a series of activities based on the Agenda 2030 to increase resident's knowledge of Teulada Moraira's immense environmental wealth.
They have chosen L'Ampolla beach as the location for the environmental workshops for children between 5 and 14 years of age. The workshops will take place as follows: always on Thursdays, July 23 and 30 and August 6 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
There are three different workshops available. The aim is to promote knowledge about the coast and respectful behaviour towards the environment.
"Biodiversity of our Coast": a workshop to promote the appreciation of the Mediterranean Sea and our environmental heritage in general and Teulada Moraira's coastline in particular. It also includes the natural reserves of the area.
"Neptune Grass Meadows": this workshop aims to promote respectful, environmentally friendly and appropriate behaviour when visiting Teulada Moraira's beaches and coves. One learns the correct environmental management necessary to preserve our natural heritage and gets to understand the vital role of Neptune Grass Meadows on the beaches and the conservation of biodiversity.
"Let's Stop Climate Change": here, the participants will learn about the main effects of climate change on the populated coast. They explain the role of the meadows of Neptune Grass as a CO2 evacuation channel which we must support with the reduction, re-use and recycling of our daily waste.
