The Municipality of Teulada Moraira has drawn up a project with social, economic and health-related measures to alleviate the effects of the COVID-19 health crisis. This plan was presented yesterday to the Board of Spokespersons. All local political forces, including non-governmental parties, were present. The programme will be ratified next Thursday during the April plenary session held through telematics.
The agreement contains twenty-one measures divided into three blocks: social measures, economic measures and measures concerning public health. All action aims at ensuring the health and safety of the population and at helping high-risk groups. Another goal is to revive the economy, which, is profoundly affected by the pandemic.
Yesterday afternoon, the Mayor, Rosa Vila, convened the spokespersons of all political parties to discuss this document. All of them had previously received the project in writing. After a thorough study, they decided to ratify the plan during the next plenary session to be able to start implementing the measures as soon as possible. The Board of Spokespersons remains in force and can be recalled at any time if necessary.
"Since the beginning of the pandemic and the declaration of the state of emergency, the Municipality has been working tirelessly to ensure the safety and health of all residents. Major efforts are needed to alleviate the effects of the crisis, and it was necessary to unite and collaborate. For all of us, Teulada Moraira and its residents are an absolute priority," said Rosa Vila, Mayor of Teulada Moraira.
