TEULADA MORAIRA DRAWS UP A PLAN AGAINST ANY EVENTUALITIES AND ELABORATES PREVENTIVE MEASURES AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS12 March 2020



The Municipal Council of Teulada Moraira held a meeting today with the local police and the civil service to face the health crisis COVID-19.

 

Given the instructions received from the Ministry of Health and the Valencian Autonomous Government, they have drawn up a municipal plan with a series of measures to deal with any eventualities, which will serve to prevent and contain COVID-19.

 

We remind the residents to remain calm and to assume social responsibility and discipline. Avoid busy places and risk situations; the only way we can slow down the spread of the virus.

 

The following measures come into force:

 

  • Schools will be closed by order of the Ministry of Education.

 

  • All cultural, social, sporting events and fiestas are cancelled until further notice.

 

  • Street and flea markets are cancelled.

 

  • The Social Centre closes and, the activities of the San Vicent Ferrer Association for Retired Persons are cancelled.

 

  • All sports facilities in the municipality are closed.

 

  • All offices in municipal buildings are closed. The citizens' offices in Teulada Town Hall and Espai la Senieta will remain open. We will reinforce the telephone service for appointments.

 

 

Preventive measures

  • Festive associations, associations of all kinds and youth meetings:

We recommend cancelling activities where a group with many participants meets in a closed room.

  • Pubs and shops:

We recommend intensifying cleaning activities.

  • The elderly:

We advise older people to follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health. The ministry in question states that risk groups such as the elderly and chronically ill should limit their social activities and stay at home. Avoid unnecessary travel and, immensely improve personal hygiene.
