Last Saturday, June 6, the online event "EYE Expo Young Entrepreneur" was held for the first time. It is the final act of the School for Young Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (EJE), which has thus concluded the 2019-2020 academic year. More than a hundred young people from all the schools in the country presented their ideas to a jury. The suggestions will help to solve problems in their own Comunidades. It was the school's fifth training course.
The Youth Councillor of Teulada Moraira, Aitor Llobell, was a member of the jury, along with Rebeca Merchán, Councillor for Education of the Municipality of Calpe, Adrián Cabrera, Councillor for Education of the Municipality of Benissa, Joan Raez, graphic designer and expert in WordPress, and Minerva Molina, former student and ambassador of the School for Young Entrepreneurs.
The solutions presented by the students were exciting. Among them was the proposal of the students from the municipality of Teulada Moraira. They came up with the idea "TEU Trend", promoting active youth participation in the municipality.
As a result of COVID-19, the students had to give up classroom teaching and changed to online education during the last part of the course. Subjects they attended: expert knowledge for young entrepreneurs, Finance, Soft Skills, and Creativity. The attitude of the young people and their commitment to the school and the communities was incredible.
Marina Alta's School for Young Entrepreneurs was founded thanks to the commitment of Benissa, Calpe and Teulada Moraira, in collaboration with the Creama. This was the fifth training course since it had been established. Its purpose is to motivate teenagers and young people of the communities and support their personal and professional development by teaching them knowledge, values and expertise that are so important for their success.
Aitor Llobell commented on the event as follows: "It was very inspiring to be able to participate in such an event and to experience first-hand the work and enthusiasm that the young people put into this project. It makes me personally proud to have the opportunity to work directly with the municipality's young people on this project that helps them grow on a personal and professional level. The project that the young people have worked out for the village has been evaluated positively and now it is time to start working so that we can realize it for our municipality".
