From Monday, June 8, lifeguards will be on duty again on Teulada Moraira's beaches.
They will be on the job until September 30, and between July 13 and August 23 they will work longer hours as the stream of visitors will increase.
Lifeguards are on duty between 11 am and 7 pm with a rescue boat on stand by. Between July 13 and August 23 they will work longer hours, 10 am to 8 pm. Starting August 24 to the end of the season they go back to 11 am to 7 pm.
During the summer season, the Municipality of Teulada Moraira opens the toilets at Platgetes, Ampolla and Portet beaches. They get the facilities cleaned and disinfected three times a day. For everyone's safety, the Local Council requires beachgoers to use the facilities responsibly.
The foot showers will not be available during the summer months and to avoid a mass outbreak of the virus; it is recommended not to use them during the low season either. The Tourism Department will take advantage of the current situation and replace the foot showers during the next few weeks. However, they will remain out of service.
All persons are requested to follow the recommendation for safe beach use. It includes mobility planning with designated entrances and exits, wearing shoes on the wooden walkways leading to the beach and any other safety measures. In the next few days, the posters, which they are still working on, will be put up at the beach entrances.
