Teulada Moraira's Department of Building and Infrastructure started the installation of lighting along the road between Teulada and Moraira. The lighting is necessary and had been requested many times before. It improves safety on the road between the two village centres.
The public lighting follows the pavement running along the CV-743. It covers the stretch between Avenida de Madrid and the intersection with Calle Pintor Durero. The cost is €47,000 and, the work will take three months.
The municipality installs 31 street lamps of different intensity. The intensity varies according to the section. The poles are nine metres high and, the lamps have LED light bulbs for low power consumption. We want the areas near the village centre to look alike, and therefore, we match the new street lamps with the existing ones.
Héctor Morales, Local Councillor for building and infrastructure, emphasised: "The population has requested these works on many occasions. We will thus improve the safety of the residents as well as road safety. The lighting used is low in electricity consumption and therefore contributes to environmental protection and energy-saving".
